Dreaming Of A Pink Christmas
Hello my sugar plum fairies, I hope you’re all having a wonderful November and the magic of Christmas filling the air is making you feel happy and bright! So far this month I’ve been so busy with work as Christmas shopping madness commences but I now have a few weeks holiday off and I plan on creating as much festive content as I can!
I’ve also been to watch Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms at the cinema which was utterly enchanting, the perfect early Christmas gift! I’ve ordered a new flocked Christmas tree which I can’t wait to set up and decorate it closer to the end of this month, following this I will have a blog post coming with all the details on my Fairytale wonderland! I’m also so excited because next month I’m having a festive girly day in London, which has kinda become an annual thing where we go to Peggy Porschen to see their newly decorated Christmas display and this time we’re also watching The Nutcracker ballet for the first time at the London coliseum.
Now we’ve had a little catch up which I felt was needed today’s blog post is all about this beautiful Under The Christmas Tree magical trio of palettes and It’s also currently half price on the Debenhams website, if you click on the link I’ve provided it will take you straight there! Too Faced are always making pink wishes come true with their Dreamy Christmas collections and this year has certainly been no exception! I have yet to start my Christmas shopping but if you’re looking for the perfect Christmas present for the princess in your life (that includes yourself) you definitely can’t go wrong with a pretty pink Christmas tree from the ultimate girly makeup brand.
It’s the most adorable makeup set housed in the cutest packaging, a theatre style box with pink and gold curtains drawn back to unveil the show stopping palette taking centre stage! The palette itself is made up of breakaway magnetic palettes that join together in the shape of a darling little pink Christmas tree which I think is really unique and girly. The texture of the palettes are a candy pink velvety material, sprinkled with dainty wintery gold stars and on the inside of each individual palette they are decorated with gorgeous fairytale nutcracker-esque prints in sugary pastel colours with gold foil accents, the adorable fluffy bunnies, sweet little squirrels and snowy elegant swans are also wearing delicate black ribbons, so cute! The whole set also comes with a miniature deluxe Better Than Sex mascara.
In total the Too Faced Under The Christmas Tree set offers 18 eyeshadows and 3 face products and the names of the shades are also so flippin’ cute I can’t even cope. Angel Kisses, Unicorns Pull My Sleigh, Dream Come True, umm sorry but you can’t tell me that isn’t all kinds of adorable. ‘Cos it is. Although I do wish the names were written on the actual palettes and not just on the back of the box the set came in or the plastic covers that protect the eyeshadows as I don’t usually keep those and when the names are as adorable and festive as the ones Too Faced dream up you want to be able to see them! The top palette contains the three face products, a highlighter, bronzer and blush.
Angel Kisses: Peachy golden toned shimmer
Winter Glow: Warm toned bronzer with an orange undertone
Christmas Flush: Warm peach with a golden shimmer
The second palette out of the trio contains 8 exclusive eyeshadows which are all really wearable and have more warm undertones! They’re are 3 matte shades, 4 shimmer and 1 matte with gold sparkly flecks running through it. I haven’t done any swatches for this blog post because I feel the real test for eyeshadows is application on the eyes but from swatching them myself they all have amazing pigment, considering Christmas collections can sometimes be lacking in that department and they are all velvety smooth to the touch.
Vanilla Snow: Matte cream with a warmer undertone
Christmas Wish: Matte soft brown with a warm undertone, perfect as a transitional shade
Kiss For Santa: A deep burgundy brown with a cranberry shimmer
Rockin Around: Peachy gold with metallic finish
Dream It, Believe It: Warm brown with a subtle pink sheen and metallic finish
Christmas Morning: Matte warm dusky peachy rose, one of my favourite shades from this palette
Cozy Up To Christmas: Warm burnt orange with a metallic finish
Wishful Thinking: Matte chocolate brown with gold glitter flecks
How beautiful is the design on the third and final palette, it’s definitely my favourite and what initially made me fall head over heels in love with this years Too Faced Christmas collection, I absolutely adore the pretty shade of pink and the elegant white snowy swan illustrations gracefully decorating it, which just makes the whole set so enchantingly feminine! This palette contains more cool toned eye shadows and some sparkly pops of colour perfect for the holiday season with 4 matte shades, 1 matte with a subtle sparkle, 1 shimmer and 3 glitters.
Beard Of White: Matte snowy white
Winter Wonderland: Light pearlescent pink with a subtle silver sparkle
Pleasant Dreams: A matte chocolately plum brown, love this shade
Dream Come True: A cool toned taupe with satin finish
Unicorns Pull My Sleigh: Copper eyeshadow with a pink and silver glitter reflects
Oh What Fun: Metallic silver with a pink and silver glitter reflects
Wishes & Kisses: A rich matte plum
Starlight: Cool toned metallic gold with shimmer
Fresh Cut & Frosty: Emerald green with gold glitter reflects
Under The Misletoe: Dark matte brown
