I always feel really inspired in February, probably because I’m a romantic soul and of course everything is extra pink, girly and my aesthetic! Which is why I’ve had lots of fun coming up with some new content lately, you may have noticed I’ve been adding fanciful fairytale quotes to my Instagram feed and incorporating them into my blog posts for the past few months now and I’ve really loved creating them, so feel free to save them because I hope they bring some inspiration and magic to your day!
Today’s blog post has been made with love and fairy dust dedicated to my princess sisters; for girls with magic in their eyes, those of you who have pure loving hearts and the lost angels who’s wings are broken. I wanted to share some self love secrets so you can flourish like a rose in full bloom because we all deserve to live our fairytale whether you’ve met your Prince Charming or not because it begins with opening our hearts, treasuring ourselves and most of all loving ourselves.
Pamper your angelic soul because you’re ethereal and matter; treat yourself to some luxurious infinity roses to remind you of the beauty in everyday.
I have wanted some luxury infinity roses for the longest time and these romantic pearl white roses are my princess dreams wrapped up in a pretty pink satin box complete with a silky ribbon, they are just so stunning, my very own enchanted roses! They are gift from my fiancé to celebrate our 7 year anniversary and Valentine’s Day! Whilst they maybe pricey they are so special and last up to at least a year, so if you want to make yourself or someone you love smile then why not treat yourself to some beautiful everlasting roses, because you deserve it princess! Buying your favourite flowers can instantly brighten up your mood and freshen up a space in your home.
Read your favourite classic fairytale or romance novel like Sleeping Beauty, A Little Princess, The Great Gatsby or Cinderella.
I’ve always had an affinity for fairytales both reading and watching them, I also find inspiration in fairytales and romance novels when it comes to my photography and writing style! Returning to the magic of our favourite childhood stories is truly heart warming, they illuminate our souls and transport us into enchanting worlds and just like the characters in our beloved stories no matter what hardships you’re faced with you too can live out your dreams!
Spritz a romantic perfume and tie a silky ribbon in your hair or wear a dainty tiara to feel like the ballerina princess that you’re!
Discover your signature scents, because a spritz of your favourite perfume can instantly make you feel more confident, a few fragrances I am besotted with are Miss Dior fragrances, like Blooming Bouquet, I also love Roja Elixir, a new fragrance which I was recently gifted and Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb fragrances are so dreamy! I personally love feminine, classic and sweet scents with a little bit of romance & magic! I think your scent of choice should reflect your personality.
Indulge in beautiful desserts and visit dreamy cafes with pretty pink interiors and flower walls to make you feel like Marie Antionette.
Take your time in choosing delicate and aesthetically beautiful desserts to delight your senses, savour the sweet taste of French delicacies like rose petal macarons and decadent pastries at Ladurée, darling cupcakes and indulgent marshmallow hot chocolates at Peggy Porschen or pastel unicorn lattes and Marie Antionette artisan chocolate at Saint Aymes! It’s one of my favourite things discovering cute girly cafes, they always make me feel so princessy and content.
Channel your inner Audrey Hepburn, be compassionate, graceful and let in la vie en rose.
Audrey Hepburn will forever be an inspiration to me, yes she was undeniably beautiful but not just on the outside because the true beauty of a woman is reflected in her soul! It was her compassion and strength of character she so naturally possessed even through her personal heartaches, loss and loneliness that I find I truly connect with her! So why not be lovely like Audrey; you could make a donation to UNICEF a charity which she worked closely with, watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s or Funny Face some of which are my favourite films of hers, bake her favourite chocolate cake, follow this recipe by frosting fairy and don’t forget Paris is always a good idea.
For beautiful eyes look for the good in others, for beautiful lips speak only words of kindness and for poise walk with the knowledge that you’re never alone. ~ Audrey Hepburn
Have a gentle, loving aura and spread kindness like delicate blossom petals.
I truly believe in treating people how you would like to be treated, you never know what somebody is going through so be gentle and kind always because kindness radiates and it will not only make others happier it will also make you happier! Kindness and love are free so spread as much of it as possible, tell those you are closest to that you love them because life is short and it’s important to remind people how much we care because we don’t know what tomorrow will bring!
Having an open heart can make you feel vulnerable but it’s a beautiful trait to have and can also be very healing both for you and the recipient. Remember to be as equally loving and kind to yourself too though, because being empathetic and compassionate can also be physically and mentally draining as we can be guilty of not giving ourselves the same kindness and thoughtful advice we give to others and it’s perfectly okay to keep some positive energy for yourself! You can spread kindness with a hug, words of positive affirmation on love notes, practice your calligraphy and write a handwritten letter or maybe even send a sweet message through heart shaped macarons.
I hope that your February is full of self love, roses and magic and that these ideas remind you that you’re destined for happily ever afters! All you need to do is surrender to the beauty that lies inside because the greatest love story starts with you.
