This is by far the dreamiest makeup collection ever created and looks as though it should belong to a swan princess, after all it is aptly named ‘Dream Queen’ which is the most perfect name for this pretty pink swan set! The moment I laid eyes upon this collection it went straight to the top of my wishlist from this years Too Faced holiday range because it’s totally elegant and feminine and made for the girly fairytale daydreamers!
When I discovered it wasn’t online and it was exclusive to Sephora which we don’t have in the United Kingdom I was gutted to say the least because I have to say this might be my favourite ever Christmas collection that the fairy godmothers at Too Faced have dreamed up! I soon found out that I was mistaken though and the other day when I went to London for a girly festive trip we decided to pay a little visit to the Too Faced Carnaby Store and to my surprise there it was in all it’s pink magical glory, so I definitely think it was meant to be don’t you?! Honestly I can’t tell you how excited I was and I couldn’t be happier to have found it and I’m just going to treasure this collection because it’s utterly beautiful!
The collection is full of everything you could need to feel sparkly and glamorous over the festive season, the palette itself looks like a cute little story booklet and I just adore the delicate swan design against the ballerina blush pink which makes it so graceful and whimsical! Inside the palette is a magical selection of twenty four gorgeous eye shadows, two blushers, one bronzer and one highlighter. The shade range is full of dreamy neutrals, pretty pinks and beautiful berry shades which are my favourite to use in my makeup routine! Each with the most adorable names like Christmas Cookie, Pink Flurries, Santa’s Bakeshop, Twinkle and Polar Bear Hug! Wouldn’t it be so much fun to name makeup products, I would be in my element!
I think the colour palette they have put together is really lovely and they perfectly compliment each other! Lots of the shades stand out to me as well and it’s so hard to narrow down my favourites but at the moment I am obsessed with Santa’s Bakeshop; a chocolatey mauve, Keep Your Hands To Your Elf; a cool toned glittering frosted pink, Let’s Roll; a burgundy wine, Wrap It Up; a sparkling warm rose gold, Twinkle; an icy pearlesent, S’Elfies; a dazzling mauve, Holy Grail; a plum brown with a blue reflects and I also love three of the matte shades Let’s Kringle, Unwrapped and Secret Santa.
The set not only comes with a full face makeup palette but also three deluxe makeup products; an exclusive limited edition ultra plush Pink Swan lipgloss, mini Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Setting Spray and a mini Better Than Sex mascara. It’s my first time trying the Hangover setting spray and I love hydrating mists as they keep me feeling refreshed and marry my makeup so I’m excited to use this properly, it’s also infused with coconut water so smells heavenly! You’re all probably well aware of the infamous Better Than Sex mascara by now which is a best seller for the brand and one of my favourite mascaras because it adds lots of volume and length to my lashes whilst still giving a fluttery effect.
The Pink Swan lipgloss is such a special edition, a stunning rose pink with an enchanting golden shimmer running throughout and it feels silky smooth on the lips with a non sticky texture perfect for those romantic kisses under the misletoe! The packaging is topped with a pretty pink cap which is decorated with dainty swans and wintry golden stars, which makes it extra charming and girly.
And if you thought that wasn’t enough it also comes complete with the dreamiest pink makeup pouch with the same design of elegant snowy swans gracefully floating amongst golden starlight! The zipper has a golden heart charm and a black velvet ribbon details and it’s just the perfect thing for storing the collection in, as well as other princessy favourites as there is plenty of room!
